Housing and Redevelopment Authority
The Wells Housing & Redevelopment Authority (HRA) was established to provide assistance and advocacy in the development of affordable housing for low and moderate income families and act as a catalyst for the upgrading of the existing housing stock in the city of Wells.
The Wells Housing & Redevelopment Authority (HRA) regular monthly meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month at 5:00 pm at the Community Center. Any changes in meeting dates, time or special meetings will be posted in the lobby of City Hall.
Along with other projects, the Wells HRA, in conjunction with Life Style, Inc., manages two housing developments known as Broadway Apartments, located 219 South Broadway, and Park Place Townhomes, located at 305 First Street NW.

Blighted Residential Property Demolition Grant Program Application
This program is designed to help property owners remove blighted single family homes to make way for redevelopment opportunities. This program provides assistance to property owners who contract the demolition themselves with the HRA assisting with up to 50% of the project costs (maximum $5,000). Primary consideration will be given to vacant single family dwellings. Grants will also be considered for the demolition of accessory buildings on parcels where it serves an owner-occupied single family dwelling. All work must be completed by a licensed contractor.
